The Art of Espresso

Espresso or aptly termed as the soul of coffee, is a rich, intense extract that forms the base of all coffees made and served at Barista. Invented in Italy around the beginning of the twentieth century it has since been recognized by connoisseurs world over as the best way to extract the finest flavour of a coffee bean.

Purists prefer to consume shots of it directly and while many others enjoy it as cappuccinos, lattes and mochas which are nothing but an espresso topped with varying quantities of steamed and foamed milk and add on’s such as chocolate and exotic flavors.

To celebrate the winter season and bring to its guest the very best in authentic Italian coffee, Barista will showcase The Art of Espresso, a indulgent treat for coffee lovers all over. With over two dozen select products many of which have been specially crafted for this festival, the menu features a range of exotic and indulgent limited edition espressos, espresso cocktails and sundaes made with espresso and a range of tempting ingredients including swiss chocolate, ice cream, whipped cream, fruits such as luscious peaches and flavours such as the very exotic Amaretto, Vanilla, hazelnut and much more.

In fact the word barista means an expert coffee maker, or in our words a true artist who has mastered the craft of extracting infinite pleasures from a simple bean. So whether you are a coffee purist or lover, this December Barista gives you one more festival to celebrate, the festival of indulgence and coffee. Incase your pleasures lie beyond coffee, they also have a section of ex-pressos or non coffee delights that are sure to tease, appease and please.

Complementing the beverages is a range of authentic Italian savouries and desserts. Calzones with Arabita filling and gooey mozzarella cheese, flavored foccacia breads, creamy cappuccino n chocolate éclairs and crumbly apple n almond pies are only a few of the mouth watering accompaniments you can enjoy all through this month at all Barista stores across the country.
